Cross-Country Skiing at the Nordic Skiing FIS World Championships 2025

Yellow cards are an absolute joke here.  There was one big long straight with only a single track pressed so naturally the top 10 guys had to go outside the bollards or lose huge chunks of time.

Bruna DNF - did not look good at 2km.    Skis were slipping all over the place.

Actually skis weren't the problem...she basically blacked out and had to be taken to the medical center (it took us quite a while to find her). She's better now, full of anger for tomorrow at least.

Too bad - that happened to Justyna Kowalczyk Torino 10km.

4 of 5 Colombians in the men's race have been disqualified for the use of fluorinated wax or tuning products.

Sorry meant overall, I believe :MEX has qualified in alpine skiing already

Yes, we currently have one woman and one man quota in Alpine, but I think they only be given official status if they keep their FIS Points until the end of qualification period, while now we have a man and woman already achieving the basic quotas in cross country.

Edit: although they too need to keep their FIS points under 350.00 (achievable, not certain).

She was indeed, I’m glad for her as she was close four years ago and promised to do her best next time which she did.

Not surprised about the number of Mexicans. After the 2018 Winter Games, cross country as a discipline grew the number of skiers and fans.
