    • Plenty of people here as well who would, in the same line, want to see USA, Iran, Israel (Sudan?) banned, for example.
    • A "government" boycott is not the same as an ATHLETES' boycott.  All it means is that the Ambassador will not be shown on TV waving at the Team when they walk in.  Many Governments including  &  boycotted the Sochi ceremony, for example.  How did Putin respond? By invading  the day the Olympics ended.
    • sorry, Stolz in Milan was just 1/100 faster, 33.77 for the Olympic gold
    • This is a problem that both the IOC and IPC created, and honestly, I don't know what they could do now.   I personally condemn what Russia did to Ukraine, but it's difficult to take the credibility of this ban seriously when there's no justification for it given that other countries ignore the Olympic truce and suffer no consequences. I don't know what the view is in Europe, but I can say that here in Brazil, many question why Russia is banned and others aren't, even considering them unfairly treated.
    • Woke up to some awesome news this morning...   I've been included on the AIPS Awards long list for young reporters (writing) for the second year in a row, along with two of my co-workers: https://www.aipsmedia.com/aips/pages/articles/2026/37683.html   If you're interested in reading my long-listed article, you can do so here: https://www.olympics.com/en/news/ryan-tyack-exclusive-archery-australia-mum-la28-exclusive
    • has joined     I suppose the right move was to ban  and  when they supported russian war with weapons or/and soldiers. The problem - is that is was not done on time
