:ESP Rafael Nadal

TENNIS

Regarded as one of the greatest male players ever, Rafael Nadal was a towering figure in men's tennis for nearly two decades thanks to a remarkable career marked by numerous records and intense rivalries. Early in his career, he reached a career high of No. 2 in the world and won 16 titles before turning 20. Nadal went on to win 22 Grand Slam singles titles (including a record 14 French Open titles), the second most of all time, 92 ATP-level singles titles (36 Masters) and two Olympic gold medals. He also led the nation to five Davis Cup victories. There is no doubt that his legacy is firmly cemented thanks to these extraordinary achievements as well as his profound influence on the sport.

    • First, they lost the medal in the short dance, where their performance were also the worst in the season,   Second, since they had a good free dance, with which they won silver and bronze at the World Championships in previous years (with the result from 2023 it would be another silver today), why experiment and invent something new? You don't change what works well - better is the enemy of good,   The facts are that the Italian pair achieved a worse result at the World Championships than at the European Championships and generally had a weak season, and assuming the return of strong Russians, to win a medal they will need to score around 216-217 points, or maybe more.
    • LIIGA Playoffs   1st Round Results (Best-of-5 Series)   SaiPa Lappeenranta (5) b. TPS Turku (12)  3-2 (1-2; 2-6; 3-0; 2-1; 3-2 OT)   Sport Vaasa (11) b. KooKoo Kouvola (6)  3-1 (3-1; 0-3; 2-1; 4-2)   Ässät Pori (7) b. HPK Hämeenlinna (10)  3-0 (3-2; 2-1 OT; 5-1)   Tappara Tampere (9) b. K-Espoo (8)  3-2 (0-1; 6-1; 2-5; 2-1; 4-3 OT)
    • That dance crap, which is a sport of robbery, this year confirmed that it is a mafia. The Italians have dared so much by presenting a programme very different from the classical standards (and I don't like it) and the judges are harshly and rightly beating them up. Fabbri and Guignard have already announced that they will return to classic programmes next year (and magically they will be back on the podium). A discipline decided at the table.     Do you want bet something?

    • Extraliga Playoffs   Quarterfinals Results (Best-of-7 Series)   HC Sparta Prague (1) b. HC Oceláři Třinec (10)  4-1 (4-3 OT; 2-1; 2-3; 4-3 OT; 3-2)   Mountfield HK (2) b. BK Mladá Boleslav (9)  4-3 (1-2; 0-2; 4-3; 3-2 OT; 4-2; 5-6 OT; 3-0)   HC Dynamo Pardubice (3) b. Banes Motor Č. Budějovice (6)  4-0 (3-0; 4-2; 6-2; 2-1 OT)   HC Kometa Brno (4) b. HC Energie Karlovy Vary (5)  4-2 (3-4 OT; 3-2; 2-0; 0-1; 5-3; 1-0)
    • The Italian pair have a disastrous performance: the score is much worse than at the European Championships and also than at the previous 2 World Championships. In general, they have been doing worse at every World Championship since 2023. Assuming that in 1 year one Russian pair returns at a high level, the chances of an Olympic medal are almost zero.
