Stamatia Scarvelis so close to a NR in the women's hammer throw. She's wanted it for years (record is 72.10 from Stella Papadopoulou in 2008). Her PB was 71.43 from 2022, now she just went 71.95 on her fourth throw for a new PB! I hope she can get the NR on one of her last two throws. She is also in first place currently.

Big shame on our federation that there is a stream for U18 decathlon/heptathlon track events but not for women's hammer throw

Dragomirova 6.42 long jump (her PB is 6.44 from 2019) and 47.61 javelin. She has 5455 points after six events.

Unfortunately the 800 is her weakest event by far but she should still get enough points for a new U23NR.  Last week, she had 5371 points at this stage and then got only 683 from the 800m for a U23NR of 6054.

She got a new PB in the 800! 2:28.79!

Her previous PB was 2:30.50 from last year and her SB was 2:30.76 from last week. She still has a long way to go, but hopefully she can continue to shave off time from her 800m PB over the next few years.

She ends with 6163 points, another new U23NR for her (previous one was 6054 from last week). A big, big improvement and now moves up to 2nd all-time on the Greek women's list. NR is 6235 so hopefully she can get it next season :fingers:

National Championships Weekend coming up!  :GBR has one of the strongest lineups for many years, but is restricted to the BBC which is usually tough for furriners to get into.

Only some of the weekend finals will be on NBC. Kinda disappointing that so much of it is now not only behind a paywall but on a streaming service that only the most dedicated fans will have. Way too many streaming services out there. From memory, last year was entirely on Peacock. Which is still a paywall but a more affordable one with much more content on it to make it worth getting.

:GER Confusion over the dates on my part, because they actually started today.  The German Athletics Nationals are on eurovisionsport, com, along with several other sports.  Like Sweden, they try to make a bit of a big week of it because several other sports are included, like fencing, badminton, rowing, and even rugby siebens. :champion:.  Also breaking, sadly.

Or pretending to.  There's still some people out there pushing the line that Semenya was some kind of pitiful waif, rather than accomplished con artist.

    • Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2025      Thank you Slovenia! Argentina get their second 12 points of this year's contest to keep their hopes of a podium finish very much alive.   Big points also for Italy who become the 3rd nation to breach the 100-point barrier and they close the gap to France in 2nd.   That concludes the third session of this year's TISC Annual. Ireland maintain the lead as they have from the very start of the contest. Their lead now stands at 28 points which is sizeable though not insurmountable with 8 juries still to vote, including Ireland.   We will take a 1 hour 30 minute break now and will resume the fourth and final session at 19:00 GMT.      Juries Voted: 26/34    1  Ireland 2 136  18  Guatemala   53  2  France 4 108  19  Netherlands   51  3  Italy 11 102  20  Tunisia   50  4  Argentina 12 96  21  Denmark   49  5  Romania   85  22  Poland   48  6  Albania 9 85  23  Sweden 1 46  7  Spain   84  24  Lithuania 3 45  8  Germany 7 84  25  Malta 5 43  9  Canada   74  26  Turkey 10 43  10  Mexico   73  27  Greece   37  11  Serbia   66  28  Slovenia   36  12  Kazakhstan 8 65  29  China   34  13  Portugal   65  30  Bulgaria   32  14  Great Britain 6 63  31  Indonesia   30  15  United States   62  32  Slovakia   28  16  Ukraine   57  33  Brazil   28  17  Israel   55  34  India   15
