for the women Jorinde van klinken and alida van daalen rule the day for the dutch with 68.98[second best result in klinken's career] and 67.99 for van daalen[pb],marike steinacker 66.55. Melina robet michon extends her women's over 45 world record that she just got from 64.63 a few days ago to 65.96 that's her fourth best throw of all time passing a throw all the way back from 2002.

 

Meanwhhile Valarie sion's new debut with her new married name does not go well only 65.18 6th place out of 7th and the first loss since the world championships in 2023 in budapest,she had won 30 comps in a row before this. of course she's looking to do much better on sunday.

Some of the highlights from this week

 

:IVB Adejah Hodge with a WL, PB, and NR of 22.10 in the women's 200m at the Spec Towns Invitational :cheer:

 

That WL stood for about an hour, before :USA Cambrea Sturgis went 0.01 better in 22.09 at the Baylor Invitational, for a new PB. 

 

:AUS Lachlan Kennedy with a PB of 9.96 in the men's 100m heats at the Australian National Championships

 

3:29:85 for :AUS Cameron Myers in the men's 1500m final as well

 

9.96 PB for 16 year old :USA Dillon Mitchell in the boy's 100m (2.8m/s) at the District 23-6A Championships

:BRA Erik Cardoso breaks the SA record with a time of 9.82. The previous record was 9.93 (Made by himself in 2025). :yikes::yikes:Fantastic.

New update: Apparently there was some kind of error (they didn't specify what it was) and the time wasn't considered valid. :mumble:

 

That makes sense.
