20.68 for Sarah Mitton:CAN :hyper:in Karlsruhe in her last attempt, equals her canadian record from last year, and of course sets the meeting record[ three women bettered the old meeting record by the end]denying Chase Jackson the victory who had the new world lead from her first attempt of 20.06 in the very first round.

Jessica Schilder had a really narrow foul last night, but the throw was reinstated after the competiton so she actually finished in second with 20.09.It was apparently the first time since the 1991 world indoors that three women have thrown beyond 20 metres in a single indoor comp.

It has been a good indoor season for us. :) Very good performances by Bozhidar Saraboyukov and Plamena Mitkova in the horizontal jumps. Too bad Aleksandra Nacheva in the triple is still injured and had another operation otherwise we could have 3 people doing top results.

Now on to my favorite athletics discipline- the discus throw. On the women's side i waited for a better result to come and it finally has Silinda Morales from  :CUB is currently the world leader with 61.63 thrown in a cuban comp, her teammate Melany del pilar MATHEUS is second with 59.70.

    • It's hard to believe it was still in this calendar year
    • In last year, we were were happy with Brignone's wins, and today we're excite that della Mea is in the top 10... It's hard to imagine a bigger fall... And Goggia should give up on the giant slalom and focus on the speed events – Vonn isn't wasting time on the giant slalom, but is training for downhill and SG. Goggia last one finished on the podium in the giant slalom in march 2018, and she has no any chance of winning an Olympic medal at the regular competition. It's a waste of time and energy to finish 8th or 9th and risk injury. And we have to accept that without Brignone, we have no chance of winning a medal in the giant slalom in Cortina, and that's it.
    • yeah, just like Anna Trocker earlier Today   I think this is the best way to blow them    they're not ready for the world cup stage yet, but we're so bad right now that our coaches are digging deep
    • Some surprises and fun results so far at this year's Worlds. Like a few minutes ago, when  Harrysson made the 1/8 with another very good performance. Now he plays Jonny Clayton, who this afternoon made a stellar performance in a tough battle with Zonneveld. I don't see an easy match for Clayton, even though on paper he would have wished such an opponent for a 1/8 before the tournament.   Also i'm delighted that my fav Gary Anderson seems to be in good form, though at his age, he is prone to sudden bad matches at any time.
