I guess China is mostly out of baseball

They got lucky that the 2023 tournament expanded to 20 teams and they auto qualified. They were already at least a tier below every other team in 2017. It's about time some other team took their place.

Both games ended after 7 innings due to mercy rule.

:COL Colombia officially qualified. They dominated the qualification outscoring their opponents 23-1

:CHN China was clearly outclassed in this qualifier being outscored 5-32 and being mercy ruled twice.

:BRA Brazil and :GER Germany will play a match on Thursday to determine the final qualifier to the 2026 WBC.

I know they want to minimize travel, but I really wish they would mix the Americas and Asia countries. I want to see them compete against each other.

US team still needs some pitching, but their lineup should be killer, especially with the depth now at Shortstop and Catcher

At least you guys have Skenes who is by far the best American pitcher to have committed in the tournament's history.
