Superbowl-winning tight-end Anthony Auclaire, who was last an NFL started in the 2021 season, has been named to the national team.

 

Katie Sowers, who was previously in the 49ers coaching staff, is also interested in being in the coaching staff for Canada's womens team.

Women’s team defeats Mexico 26-25 at the IFAF Americas Championships, after a furious comeback from the Mexicans in the second half, top the group. 
 

Not sure as to if either team is sending their best squads.

Unlikely for the men, but hopefully the women can do it. Not drawing US on our half is key, we’d have two chances at it instead of one.

      Just finished with PanAm Weightlifting Championship. Looking forward to the first Boulder World Cup this weekend. The Relay Championships will be good, too.  Might catch some of the W 3x3 action, too. Unfortunately the Ft. Lauderdale Open (Swimming) doesn't have a good stream.   (Might go back and watch the Oceania Weightlifting Championship.)

      So CAN & AUS are auto Q into the semis   SWE v SCO and ITA v JPN are the two qualifiers tomorrow morning. and then the two semis are tomorrow evening.  Medal matches on Sunday.   NZL v FRA and HUN v FIN to avoid the drop to the B division next year.    Unfortunately, not seeing any FTA coverage anywhere.
