Never seen such scenes in a senior National teams match before. Our commentators are trying to figure out what has happened and they think the initial rotation was different, than what we usually play, which threw off the payers. But it's unacceptable after the first error, that they, or the coaches couldn't clear the rotation. Now even the referees seem confused.

Italy in Men`s Nation League with Poland in final?

Bulgaria has excellent junior women's teams:

U-19: World Championship gold,
U-21: 4th place in the World Championship.

But in the senior level, they still can't make the progress like Serbia decent years ago did. I think the federation should allocate more money to volleyball, because in my opinion, it's a matter of poor conditions and poor coaching staff.

3 of the girls who became U19 world champions this summer are actually in the roster for the WCH, so they want to incorporate them as soon as possible. But at 16 & 17 they are just too young to keep up with the level of play and power at this level.

This has been a decade long issue for us and not only in volleyball, but in all of sports. We always have talented juniors, or big results at junior level, but when it comes time to pass over to the big leagues those athletes just disappear or never really reach a high level.

On the contrary to other countries, where you never see them have good results at junior events (volleyball a prime example), but then they always have athletes rise up at senior level from "out of the blue".

Of course It's anything knows that a healthy, strong team must consist of players of different generations: from experienced to young. This requires several talented juniors generations + also two or three experienced players around 30. The Italian squad consists of 38-year-old de Gennaro, 30-year-old Sylla and 22-year-old Nervini. If you were to field five or six even talented 20-22-year-olds, you wouldn't win anything significant.

By the way, Italy also had a lot of junior medals for women for many years, but in the senior category we always lost to Serbia, the USA and Brazil. This is changing now, but it takes time. Almost 10 years passed between Egonu and Orro's gold medals at the U-19 World Championships in 2015 and the gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

8 serve rotation errors (with one of those being a substitution error) from :BUL during this match… one in the first set, six ! in the second set and one in the fourth set. Ridiculous stat.

Disappointing result, but it was evident where this was going after the shitshow at the start of the second set. Another year with minimal, if any progress at all for this team. Not being able to beat Canada, when they are without their 3 best players shows how this year has been another standstill, on the contrary of the comments that were made from the staff this summer.
