2024 Olympics - Day 15 (August 10)

Canada finishes 3rd on the athletics medal table. Would have been 2nd, if not for 1/100 of a second (Kenya has one more gold). 

 

Canada finished 4th on the swimming table, only behind USA/AUS/Marchand. 

 

Crazy to see Canada as swimming and athletics powers now.

What really impressed me was not just the total medals, but the breadth. 
 

We won medals in fencing, pole vault, boxing, hammer... stuff we never done before, or haven't done in forever. And even in a wide variety of stuff that we've had occasional successes in. 

And the nice thing is there is still room for improvement. Looking forward to LA28!

You got to give it to the athletes from Canada they beat their tokyo total.  Such a wide range of sports too.   I hope they can have fun tomorrow.  Have they announced who is the flag bearer?

It’s going to be at 9am Paris time
