Rhys McClenaghan will be in Subdivision 3 during qualification so means he will have a very late start... 21:40 local time (20:40 Irish time). Ever the professional, he is changing his training times now in advance to replicate those "conditions" :d

We may smile, but the sheer jammy luck of a non-gymnastics nation like Ireland happening upon a world class gymnast of Rhys quality, who partially benefitted from the British system which itself GBR jammied into thanks to the stand alone brilliance, really, of Beth Tweddle and to a lesser extent Louis Smith is off the charts. Now Ireland has a handful of strong gymnasts, some adopted, some home grown. Having already gone through the rubbing the eyes in disbelief stage with Britain discovering the sport, to find my beloved Ireland going through the same process is wonderfully barmy.

So if Rhys wants to train by hanging off the GPO, that' what we let him do!

    • Today is a day without Italians in the leads positions. I`m worried that they are not trying to revive this our sprint. There is only one Bosa and he is old. Pergher is young but she is also only one. It is a pity. After the Olympics they will probably 100% give up on the entire sprint. Our medal bag in Cortina will depend 90% on Ghiotto, just like it did on Fabris in Turin 2006. If Ghiotto will be in goodshape, he can even win 2 individual golds + a team medal. If not, it will be a flop. Apart from him, only Lollobrigida can compete in the mass start and possibly Giovannini in the men's mass start.
    • Yup, actually they have just some juniors pairs in the dance event

    • Yes, he is ones of the first supporters of Milei, owner of one of the most important stock market of Argentina (Bull market), he was peronist and for "unknown reasons" start to be libertarian.   Even being libertarian in my case, i have to admit that him is one of the dumbest of "Milei supporters" and a clown when  he is in TV, he made me feel  embarrassed in many occasions.   Camila Giorgi being with him is.......inconceivable.
