That would be more true.

You of all people should sit this one out with your rantings about "western" and "woke" values. Now, you're silent about these things.

What has to happen so they banish boxing from the Olympics?

This Algerian "woman" breezing into gold medal might just be the final nail in the coffin. They couldn't sweep Semenya under the rug so they might not be able to do it with boxing either.

Completely agree, I either hope rules get put into place or it gets removed from the Olympic program entirely. So many athletes are getting robbed from victory because of corruption.  :(

Give us kickboxing :d

And not the ultra lame version we had at.....World Games? European Games? Not sure, but 2-3 years ago I think. That was nothing, give us the pro's

HBO's commentator in English was rather annoying. She was talking about "Carini is angry with something", and then going on to basically talk about that we'll hear later what was going on, but come on. Whatever your opinion is, it's at least clear what she was angry about :p Even IOC isn't hiding it, they put information on that on Khelif's profile page, they're not avoiding it or anything.

I'm pretty sure American cmmentators have to ultra careful and pretend the obvious doesn;t exist. NCAA allows transgender women to compete vs women and in USA it's notoriously easy to get cancelled from the media because of racism and xenophobia so those commentators have to behave like nobody has internet and nobody knows what's going on. The idiocracy in the media lives on.

Commentators are often bad at doing things like that.

Khelif isn't that smart, why starting to throw hard punches immediately, at least keep it close. Now someone from the IOC will pay her a visit.

Semenya at her best (when she didn't have to lower her testosterone) never gave her 100% - and that was not a sport where you can physically injure opponents.

But I'd very much say she is English. Now, I know English-language commentators on things like HBO/Eurosport are often those generic commentators that do like 6 sports and only say things like "now he reallyyy needs to push hard!", but at least read the page of athletes you're commentating on :d

    • Today is a day without Italians in the leads positions. I`m worried that they are not trying to revive this our sprint. There is only one Bosa and he is old. Pergher is young but she is also only one. It is a pity. After the Olympics they will probably 100% give up on the entire sprint. Our medal bag in Cortina will depend 90% on Ghiotto, just like it did on Fabris in Turin 2006. If Ghiotto will be in goodshape, he can even win 2 individual golds + a team medal. If not, it will be a flop. Apart from him, only Lollobrigida can compete in the mass start and possibly Giovannini in the men's mass start.
