Crittenden might be in trouble. Looked like he thought it was a false start, but they kept going. Knew he had no chance anymore and so looks like he saved himself for the repechages. However, part of the repechages is that you need to have put in a 'serious' effort.

 

Might of course also be injured..

Unless this 'you need to put in a serious effort' thing bites him in the behind, but with this explanation that might be alright.

Well it seems very clear he wasn't putting in the effort, and deliberately. Not what the repechage was designed for.

I agree, but I have my doubts about one of the big names being thrown out by the judges
