phelps 6,909 Posted March 4 #33 Share Posted March 4 as I feared, did the right move leaving the Tokyo Olympic Champion Shori Hamada out of the team for Paris in the women's -78kg Bellandi lasted only 1 min 36 secs against her, while Hamada didn't have any clue against the Italian not that Takayama is unbeatable (she lost against Ma, Lanir, Sampaio, Malonga and Tchumeo in the last 15 months), but, like Wagner, she has the edge over Alice my dream of another Olympic Gold in Judo has gone (I don't think the men nor Scutto/Giuffrida are good enough for gold, maybe they can win a medal, but definitely not jumping on the top of the podium)... She tore the cruciate ligament in her left knee in April 2022 and only returned last year, then was unlucky with the draw on a few occasions and picked up few points in the first 12 months of the qualifying period.
