I can't understand why Murada wasn't in final. She clearly was 3rd in semifinal, but I think that I missed something this morning.

because only the Top 2 in each semifinal heat make it through to the final, then the 2 best times are the "lucky losers" (like in CC skiing sprint races)

 

Today the 2nd semifinal was quicker than the first, so Murada couldn't advance to the final 6

I remember that was best 3 from each semi, they changed the format? :mumble:

yes, this year they adopted the same format of the CC Skiing Sprint Races

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony. 
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
