If the results stand as they are in the men's sprint, Budjoso :HUN would be the first athlete from his nation to a win a medal in orienteering at The World Games.

 

That would increase the tally of nation's winning their first orienteering medals at The World Games 2025 to four :clap:

Usually, that would mean he missed a control (checkpoint), but I didn't hear the commentators say anything about the situation on the stream.

Gold for :BEL Michiels in men’s orienteering! 
 

0:16 behind was :CZE Krivda in silver, and 0:23 behind was :HUN Bujdoso in bronze! 

 

:SUI Rancan, the winner of the middle distance finished 4th.

Almost escaped my attention, but Salgado Martinez :CUB (freediving) became the first athlete from his nation to win a medal at The World Games (in any sport, so far as I can tell).
