heywoodu 15,146 Posted November 30, 2019 Author #5031 Share Posted November 30, 2019 I'd have jumped out of the class window if we had been forced to undergo psychology and even worse, philosophy classes at school. Yuck. I'm all in favour of more native history though, especially in a time where more and more and more of the kids in school don't get any 'native history' (meaning, from the country they're living in) from home, since they're from different places. . I loved AP psychology at my high school, most kids did. Psychology is very popular among students in the US. I would have loved to have taken a Philosophy class, though my religious classes essentially were philosophical classes in high school. “Sport has the power to change the world. heywoodu 15,146 Posted December 1, 2019 Author #5033 Share Posted December 1, 2019 Apparently the Netherlands has one naturalized native from both Micronesia and Nauru Zero from the Pitcairn Islands, which is probably a good thing considering the abuse scandal over there. I'm quite surprised to see six people from the British Indian Ocean Territory and even eight (!) total from Ascension, Saint-Helena and Tristan da Cunha https://opendata.cbs.nl/statline/#/CBS/nl/dataset/37325/table?dl=2A1C6 . Olympian1010 7,977 Posted December 1, 2019 #5036 Share Posted December 1, 2019 Fun little video about : I have read that researchers think that the people of Bhutan are some of the happiest, but it’s inconclusive like the guy says in the video. I’d love to visit Nepal and Bhutan though. Bhutan is arguably one of the most, if not the most, successful socialist countries in history. I do know that the government is a bit more suppressive than it seems in the video, and like every country their are some serious social problems behind the scene. The story of Bhutan’s history, politics, and economy is very interesting and worth looking up if you have time. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. All the ready bears are taken to children’s hospitals as Christmas gifts for the children there. I also the Michigan (college) American Football tradition where after the 1st Q, everyone turns and waves to the children’s hospital (which overlooks the stadium). “Sport has the power to change the world.
