Men's American Football NFL 2020

Recommended Posts

Yep, the season is off to a fanatic start as Chiefs fans boo during the moment of silence for racial equality.

Because in America only important people who appear on TV are allowed to have opinions.

Oh, and what’s this?  Fans have also been banned from

  1. Dressing how they normally do
  2. Wearing facepaint as they normally
  3. Chanting as they normally do.

So, in other words the team & organisation went out of their way to call their own paying customers a bunch of racists.

I’d say boos were mild in the circumstances.

I'm in for the sport, not a national anthem (which isn't even mine :p ) or clothes.

Chiefs beat Texans 34-20. Clyde Edwards-Helaire will get plenty of OROY buzz given how the rookie QBs will presumably struggle without OTAs (and the fact only Joe Burrow will probably play 16 games in the defensively toughest division of the lot).

Some upsets in the early W1 games. The "tanking" Jaguars beat the Colts and I have no idea how the Lions managed to blow a 23-6 lead versus Mitchell fuckin Trubisky-led offense.  Also Redskins.. ahem.. WSH Football Team beat the Eagles.

Raiders beat Panthers on the road, our defense was garbage but the Panthers D was somehow even worse :p

Ah, good to know my Lions are in their normal form. The best thing about being a Lions fan is that you never have to worry about making the postseason. You can really enjoy the 3-7 regular season wins you get. Unless of course you lose all your regular season games too...

Cleveland Browns beat Cincinnati Bengals 35-30 on Thursday night. Joe Burrow looks legit but they need some serious OL improvement or else he ends up on IR fast. Way too many hits. Browns can lean on Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt and win a lot of games with Baker Mayfield throwing ca. 25 passes a game. Bengals run defense is worst in the league but Browns RBs are Top 3 duo in the league if not the best overall.

Monday Night Football just ended and Las Vegas Raiders beat New Orleans Saints 34-24!!! :cheer:

Brees can't throw beyond 20 yds anymore, Michael Thomas was out and his YAC were missing. Without them it was a dink & dunk show to RB Kamara. Thankfully we had this all covered and shut the Saints down in the second half minus one up-tempo drive late in the 4th when Saints had to chase the scoreline.

On Sunday several big name players got injured and are lost for the season: Saquon Barkley, Nick Bosa and Courtland Sutton tore their ACLs. Meanwhile the Jets look like the worst team in football now. 49ers lost Garoppolo, Bosa and Mostert and Nick Mullens still outplayed Sam Darnold and the pitiful Jets offense. At this rate Jets will be in line for Trevor Lawrence in the draft. HC Adam Gase is a dead man walking there.

  • 1 month later...

Patriots fell to 2-5 after Cam Newton fumble cost them a shot at the game-tying FG vs Bills. Newton was one play away from beating the Seahawks in W2 but he's been absolutely horrible in October and it's rather clear he won't be offered a long-term deal after this season.

Meanwhile Raiders are 4-3 after beating Browns 16-6 in weather conditions called "graupel" :p Apparently even Americans don't use this word too often and don't know the full meaning :d
