Karate WKF Premier League 2020

ooff, that looked like a serious knee injury for Abbasali :( with only 4-5 seconds left. she managed to finish it while barely standing but I just hope that's nothing serious. the good thing is she qualified for the Olympics with this and she doesn't need that final trip to Morocco.

anf now please cancel both remaining tournaments or at least the Europeans ?

not complaining , I like Poursheib a lot , he is such a great person but still I prefer Ganjzadeh to qualify.

a lot less than those who throw wins away in such a silly and frustrating way!

however, as I wrote many times, I would prefer Maresca and Semeraro to go to the Olympics rather than Crescenzo and Ferracuti because imho they have more chances to medal in that special event (they also showed in the past that they adapt better than their rivals to the "pool format", which will be used in Tokyo)...

her injury was indeed serious (ACL)  she had surgery today in Hanover by an Iranian doctor (the same guy who fixed Sohrab Moradi's shoulder)

the doctor was confident she will be ready for the Olympics but I think whoever finishes 3rd in the ranking at +68kg will have a chance to qualify.

she is probably the only female athlete we have right now with realistic chance to win the Olympic gold. (she is at least one of the favorites) but then this injury somehow ruined her chance :(

What a pity, probably the doctor knows the Olympics will be postponed of some months, otherwise i think there is no chance she can compete in 5 months after an injury like that

actually the doctor claims she will be ready in less than 2 or 3 months, he claims they used a "new method"  from Switzerland ! :dunno:

he is supposed to be a very good doctor, I hope he knows what he is talking about !

    • Yes, that's Haaland's cousin Braut Brunes. If he has a bad day Raków is usually scrapping for 1-0 victory unless they concede a goal. Ivi Lopez is the playmaker but he's not as sharp since an injury last season.   Lech & Jagiellonia are the two strongest clubs right now, Raków probably #3. I discount league surprises and of course Legia which is stuck in relegation zone
    • On transfermarkt, Raków is worth 42 million euros and Jagiellonia only 32, but it is known that this is only a theory. On paper, the most valuable clubs in Poland are Lech and Raków: €42 million each. Raków have a strong Norwegian attacker from what I can see on internet.
    • Fiorentina gets another  club Raków Czestochowa in R16     Raków manager Marek Papszun moved to Legia lately and the club is slightly less demanding than Jagiellonia IMO. They're unlikely to score more than 1-2 goals in a game even in our league but have a better defense.
    • Fiorentina must play seriously from the first match, becous they played with a reserve squad in both matches against Jagiellonia, with the exception of extra time in the second. Unfortunately, Fiorentina are still close to the relegation zone in Serie A, which explains the staff decisions in the Conference League. It they advance further, they will probably play against Crystal Palace in 1/4 final.
