Will FIFA re-name SoFi for World Cup (since it's not an official FIFA sponsor?).

 

In 1994 they did play WCup matches at NFL stadiums (Soldier Field and RFK in Washington off the top of my head).

Rose Bowl was a Top 10 stadium by capacity back then and most of the biggest outdoor stadiums in USA belong to the filthy rich private universities anyway.

 

Yeah, I remember how the crossbar broke. Marcelino Bernal was the player who broke the thing but they quickly replaced it. I remember how amazed I was since nobody really had any clue how it works over in Europe (where admittedly it probably never happened since they phased out the wooden posts ).

I'm old enough to remember the old days when the Raptors used to play there, I know it was built as a multi-purpose facility, but now it's been renewed and it's a true baseball field (actually, one of my favourite MLB stadiums -among the "modern" ones of course, Wrigley, Fenway and Chavez Ravine are still unmatched)
