If rumours are true (and it seems highly likely) Bjarne Riis will tomorrow announce that he and Virtu Cycling are new co-owners of NTT Pro Cycling Team.

 

Danish rider Michael Carbel should also be joining the team.

 

Time for another "Africa's Team" comment, @heywoodu?

They seem to have now officially given up on the Africa's Team gimmick, although their announcements are still absolute pearls of total bullshit. Every single rider is announced as a huge addition to the team, someone with awesome results and so on....when in reality for example they have an 11th place in stage X of some random tour in China as best result

Ugh, why does it feel so predictable to have something like this in Minsk of all places? Maybe because the rest of Europe isn't interested  

 

Great by the way, now places with an excellent layout for a great road race but without a nearby track or mountainbike course or BMX track can't have the champs anymore. This sounds almost as stupid as the ISU's combined speed skating world championships..

I think that this new format will be used every 4/2 years.. so the other venue will host the "single" ECh (like in waterpolo)

Not really that big news that there has been some suspicion about Astana in general and Fuglsang's massive season. Only really newsworthy if further investigations gives some proof.
