In Ostrava meanwhile, great effort of the hosts ! Extremely valuable Golden point from :CZE against :USA very likely secured the quarterfinals for the "Národní tím" and suddenly put huge pressure on Germany and Russia who will play tomorrow for avoiding the relegation round !

The only way :CZE will miss out is if they lose to Canada AND Russia beats Germany in overtime. Any other scenario we are fine.

Btw these groups are so unbalanced. We have to get points against Russia/US. All Slovakia has to do is beat Kazakhstan :P

Yep, RUS win in OT/PSO and CAN win in Regulation Time is now the only way you´ll have to play the relegation round. Hopefully it won´t happen, this czech team is showing some heart and deserve to play for medals.

I agree, I can not believe our luck actually this year, this joke team had  but you know, the groups are depending on the previous year results and since many surprises happened last year with CAN and SWE losing their QF to SUI and FIN. so this totally unbalanced this years groups and thanks all heavens it somehow helped us the most :d

There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.
