Yes we certainly can. Spain is one of the top teams . Same with Australia. We are right in it with both teams. And energy is a real thing . So send every good vibe you guys have . And release as much anxiety and fear as you can haha

I’ve been following this squad since mid 2021, and have been cheering for them at the majority of the events that they’ve competed at since then, SO SO happy for them.

19-12 win over Kenya to start off the tournament. Not exactly the best of wins, the Canadians were quite sloppy and well off their best, but props to Kenya for making it a game.    Hopefully

But yeah, the women’s team has no chance anymore. 

I mean, sure. Every team has a chance. If everyone else gets food poisoning or if their buses get lost on the way to the arena, Canada has a chance. 

 

But even then they'd manage to trip on their shoelaces and knock themselves out instead of stepping on the podium.

That doesn’t need to happen for Canada to have a chance…

 

And no, Azerbaijan isn’t podiuming.

I may have thought this when the score was 6-1 Spain. But as the game went on I realized they were playing like the stronger team, they never gave up when they were down. It’s unfortunate they didn’t win against Spain but should they beat Hungary I do think they should be a medal contender, just like they have been at most of the competitions they’ve been at.

      I remember that in 2017 i do a medal table excluding all the athletes from the big four ( ) and Mongolia won (14 gold, 2nd Taipei with 7). I'm curious to see if this will change.

      I have been told these are the 34 NOC's who attended the Chefs de mission meeting recently (doesn't mean these are the final 34 scheduled to compete)    (did not compete in 2017)   (did not compete in 2017)     (debut, curious to see what they will compete in) (debut)         (have only competed in hockey before, but will be in a new sport this time) (debut)        11 NOC's not present:     (the most surprising as they have an active skier atm)

      Really relaxed week (at least for me), off the top of my head I’ll only be watching the Bills-Jaguars game in NFL, WTT China Smash, Athlos in athletics, the GSOC Hearing Life Tour Challenge and maybe some Canucks pre-season games.    No ATP/WTA tennis.

      After 3 months UEFA have finally acknowledged, that there was a huge mistake in the Germany - Spain match and the Cucurella handball should have been a penalty  Well la di da, that was evident for everyone and their blind dog, except for one fraud named Anthony Taylor and his helpers.
