Nice rebound for the team

Watched the entire event, as usual whenever they compete :d (unless I’m extremely busy, but that’s almost never so…)

Wish they played this well in the knockout stages (and the latter part of pool play) at the Olympics though :nopompom:

Women’s Series Final in Hangzhou is on this weekend :cheer:

No Bosch this time around, and the usual Brown as the alternate, but both Plouffe sisters and Crozon are on the squad.

Canada opened up with a 19-10 win over China U24 in the group stage! (started 10-0 up)

Bronze for the men’s 3x3 team and gold for the women’s 3x3 team at the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup! B-squad for the men, and a mainly A-squad for the women, with Grant-Allen instead of Michelle Plouffe.

Women’s 3x3 team won gold at the Champions Cup, defeating Spain 15-13 in the final. I obviously watched the final, but couldn’t be bothered to update after  :d

Will point out most teams, especially on the women’s side didn’t take this event seriously with the rosters they had, but Spain had a decent lineup. We switched out Michelle Plouffe for Saicha Grant Allen, she had a great tournament for us (besides her FT % in particular and 3PT %, although she usually struggles with those)

Women’s team defeats Japan 18-6 in the play-in to advance to the quarterfinals at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup!

They had 5 fouls with 5:30 to go, but managed to clean it up by not picking up any more throughout the rest of the game. Japan was 12/13 on FT’s heading into this game, so that was huge. Grant-Allen and Brown had big games for us, Crozon struggled with all of her points coming on layups and easy baskets but that’s been the story for the entire tournament.

Hope we clean up on the turnovers for our game against Spain, other keys are them not getting gassed out (like in the other games besides this out) and letting the other team going on a run.

Women’s team defeats Spain 11-10 in a low scoring defensive masterclass by both teams to avoid a 3rd consecutive QF finish at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup:hyper::cheer:

Cassandra Brown with the game-winning bucket with 5.0 seconds left to go in the game, and Saicha Grant-Allen was a beast as always :yes

The Relay Championships will be good, too.  Might catch some of the W 3x3 action, too. Unfortunately the Ft.
