A very helpful person at IBU sent me the information on the licenses.  It is very interesting.  I am not sure if a moderator wants to pull all of the venue/licensing talk into another thread, but I will leave that up to smarter people than myself.

A license is for 6 years, but can be pulled at any time by the IBU.

There are currently 23 venues that have a Class A license with 4 in what is called "prolongation"   There are currently 21 venues with a Class B license with 5 in the process of prolongation.  Some names are familiar, others are not.

There will be public documents that will come out within the next month or so, but let me say I was surprised by some of the names on the list.   The IBU has has that I not share the names until the public documents come out, sorry.  But if you asked me questions, I might be able to answer them.

I've got a feeling Bariloche and Portillo are not on the list? :d

I feel like I'm being spoiled, but Lithuania is in points yet again :)

The only offside is that Tomas looks like a total wreck and even if he does those miracle runs during the World Championships, I don't know if he can lift himself up that much.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
    • Well ya, which is why the Egyptian and Iranian teams can shut up and dribble :P
