17 women in the ski cross qualifying in Idre Fjäll today...in the first one young Linnea Mobärg was the only one to just miss out on the top-16 and thus didn't qualify for the first race. In the second qualifying, for Sunday, she was the only one not to finish and so she's the only one to miss out there as well, that's just sad

What’s sad is that the IOC/FIS are still giving this event 32 quotas. Snowboard could have used a few quotas from here.

The 32 for men is definitely the right amount, just no doubt about that, it's incredibly competitive. For the women it's basically twice more than necessary though, yes.

 

No reason to move them to snowboarding though, they've got plenty of quotas too for every event, including the cross.
