Men’s update:

The match for the quota will be contested by :INA and :AUS

SF result:

:AUS 2-0 :IRI

:INA 2-1 :NZL

Congrats Indonesia for making it to the final and good luck on being the first Southeast Asian country in qualifying for any kind of volleyball discipline in the Olympics.

For myself and my rooting interests, I'm just disappointed in Thailand not being able to push themselves to grab an Olympic quota while being host of this qualification event. I just tired of Thailand being perpetual screw ups in Olympic qualifiers especially their women's indoor volleyball team.

Welp, we had qualified for Beach Volleyball in 1996 actually.

I'll take that as wishing us to qualify for the second time :d

Women's update - Semifinals:

:THA 0-2 :JPN

:AUS 1-2 :CHN

China is still through despite having to forfeit one match :yikes:

That pair have to play 2 matches per day and keep winning. It’s their quota so they have to fight for it.

My apologies for the factual mistake. Shows that I forgot some of the information I read on Wikipedia. I used to actually remember this kind of information that I read about past Olympics on Wikipedia.

    • Interesting, for only 2 months i think i have seen some kind of coin from all of the big countries - Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, France, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and yes the 2 euro from Croatia. But some of them were the smaller ones, 10, 5, 2 cents.    Expectedly there aren't any from the smaller countries so far. Nothing from the Baltics, Cyprus, Slovenia, Malta, Andorra etc. But also a bit surprising i haven't seen any from Greece yet.    Don't know from what part of Italy are you, but it's safe to say that when summer hits there will be a lot of Bulgarians visiting Rome, so i'm sure they'll bring some of our coins to spread around.
    • I choose to collect only coins in circulation (and I have also found coins in circulation that should not be on the market; you can find a bit of everything). From my experience, it takes 4-5 years for coins to reach southern Italy, so I have no idea how it will work in Bulgaria. Incidentally, I am curious to see when I will see my first Bulgarian coin. I have not yet seen a Croatian coin (introduced in 2023!).
    • Yes, i saw that there are a lot of commemorative coins. But to get some of those, i would need to buy them, as i don't know how much of them are in circulation. And the chances of such making it to Bulgaria are rather slim.    Still, if i find some sports ones on a good price, maybe i will order a few.

    • Have you already started looking for the hundreds of commemorative 2 euro coins? There are loads of them, including sports-themed ones.
    • Don't know if someone else is collecting Euro coins, but since we joined the zone it's been fun looking at what you can get.    It took only 2 months, but today i finally got my first Slovakian coin.  @hckošice
