I was taking a look at the MTB Olympic Rankings (which looks very unofficial so far, because the period of qualification starts on May 7th). Anyway, taking in consideration the current scenario we have those countries taking the quotas by ranking

Men

:BRA:CHI:USA:CAN

All those countries look safe for the quotas by ranking, so the event will be a good opportunity to :COL:MEX:ARG:PUR:HON in order, the best ranked countries

Women

:BRA:USA:CAN

Those are safe... :MEX:CHI:ARG:COL:PUR:ECU are a little bit distant of TOP 19, and they are the contenders for it

:USA pair out to an early lead in the women’s race :cycling:

A lot of bike walking on one of the climbs. Great scenery though

:USA guarantees itself a quota in women’s mountain bike. Courtney dominated the race all the way through.

:BRA will be next in line for the quota.

Avancini :BRA and Vidaurre :CHI both off the podium is a bit of a surprise. I figured at least one of them would find the podium, if not the quota.
