In men's TT I voted for Remco because I have a feeling double gold in road events is possible for him

2. Foss 3. Ganna

I don't know much about women's cycling so I voted for current WCH van Dijk

But now I would change my vote - I know it's not possible though. I think now there is a chance that a young Guazzini will improve enough to get a gold already in Paris

Anyway, my official picks are 1. van Dijk 2. Guazzini 3. van Vleuten

In the men's time trial one of the Belgians will win; I pick Remco Evenepoel (who will win the men's road race as well).

At the women's side Annemiek van Vleuten won't win. She stops racing at the end of 2023. Reigning world champion Ellen van Dijk normally screws it up at Olympics, so my favourites are Chloe Dygert (USA) and Zoe Backstedt. Both are not in the list.

Results so far...

Cycling Road - Men's Individual Time Trial

1. Remco Evenepoel BEL

2. Filippo Ganna ITA

3. Tobias Foss NOR (T)

Cycling Road - Women's Individual Time Trial

1. Ellen van Dijk NED (T)

2. Annemiek van Vleuten NED (T)

3. Marlen Reusser SUI (T)

If we don't count van Vleuten (you said she's gonna retire) 2. would be Reusser and 3. would be Backstedt (as "any other" option).

But maybe van Vleuten will change her mind, we'll see.

Thanks for voting and commenting!

    • Sadly that won't have Liliana Lewińska reinstated for the Olympics (she was the one robbed at the expense of the Russian representing ).   Nothing to see here anyway. Gymnastics is one of the last sports where you have judges openly manipulating the results and nobody really cares. Trikomiti should be banned for life but yeah, let's move on.
    • I'd love to, but logistically it is going to be such a difficult thing     They somehow put 'the most geographically widespread Olympics ever!' as a positive marketing thing, but it's just really annoying for fans....we're going to look for an accomodation between Tesero and Antholz (I'd say around Bolzano or one of those lovely towns around it) and the ice hockey is like 3+ hours drive away..   Maybe for France 2030, but for Cortina I hope my priority in terms of what to watch is rather obvious
