Olympian1010 7,483 Posted July 31, 2019 Author #42 Share Posted July 31, 2019 For some reason I’ve got a winter sports kick this week, so I’ve been looking forward into these games again. Ice Hockey qualification is kind of known now. The way it works is that gets a team in both genders. Then the top 10 teams in the youth world ranking get to choose whether they send a boys team or a girls team. Both tournaments will feature 6 teams. If the top 5 in the world ranking all choose to send a boys team, then the other countries can only send a girls team (should they choose to participate). At the end of the qualification period, the rankings were as the following: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Thrown out (host country) (already given quotas) 8. 9. 10. 11. First in line for reallocation should any of the top 10 not choose to send a team: 12. 13. 14. 15. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 7,483 Posted August 24, 2019 Author #44 Share Posted August 24, 2019 @intoronto Since you generally seem to be in the know, any idea if Canada has selected a boys or girls hockey team? They can only send one. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire.
