I guess it can reasonably assumed then that the two candidates in talks with the EOC are :POR:CRO. Link: https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1138211/capralos-two-cities-2027

You could do a lot worse in hosting terms than 2027 Portugal, 2031 Croatia - it might create a stable foundation for the event going forward to have two hosts ready in advance. Meanwhile still absolutely no word whatsoever on possible hosts for the 2026 European Championships event, which despite being the more popular fanwise, looks like it's about to come unstuck after two editions...

Delegate from :SRI questioning financial transparency in OCA, claiming they always just rubber-stamping the reports. Hussein Al Mussalam quickly shut him down by saying OCA is doing good governance since it was formed

From this glitched stream of OCA, it seems like we will be having Asian Winter Games 2025 in Harbin

It's confirmed but I really think this event is unnecessary. Only East Asia and Kazakstan are competitive participants. For me, it's just another(or the best) opportunity for Korean male athletes to be exempt from compulsory military service.

It’s actually interesting to see a real election for a rather prominent position on the Olympic Movement.

Any news/website to be found about 2023 Indian Ocean Island Games?

You have some great timing with your post. I was just checking in on this event the other day :d

I believe this should be the official website: https://jioi2023.org

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
