JoshMartini007 2,536 Posted August 16, 2019 #391 Share Posted August 16, 2019 loses another shoot-off . At least she's pretty much guaranteed a tripartite quota, even if she fails to qualify at the European level.
phelps 7,674 Posted August 16, 2019 #392 Share Posted August 16, 2019 good luck to the girls...they're shooting in awful conditions...it's raining like hell... luckily it looks that there's not much wind... p.s. after the world champs and the european games, back to our usual world cup tv director...he must be one of those headache pills reseller... phelps 7,674 Posted August 16, 2019 #395 Share Posted August 16, 2019 and among the men, after day #2, we have Yavuz Ilnam leading the field with 73/75, followed by William Chetcuti with 72/75 and the pair composed by Joao Azevedo and Andreas Loew with 71/75... then, tied for 5th place, there's a 9-man pack with 70/75 (group including also Giovanni Pellielo, looking for his 8th Olympic participation)... phelps 7,674 Posted August 17, 2019 #396 Share Posted August 17, 2019 Chetcuti! 3 misses in the last 5 shots...and he's out of the final (the shoot-off for the final, most likely) by just 1 hit and loses any chance to earn an Olympic spot for now... right now, Andreas Loew has finished his qualification round with 119/125 and he's sure of the 1st place and to be part of the final... then we have quite a complicated situation... Joao Azevedo and Yavuz Ilnam have finished the quali with 118/125 and should be reasonably safe (still, they could be caught by 4 more shooters and have to go to the shoot-off, even if it's highly unlikely)... finally, we have Alipov, Pellielo, De Filippis already done and dusted at 117/125... but... but, as said, we still have a few shooters (5) who could go as high as 118 and send them home, or with a 24 in the final heat they could force a crowded and dramatic shoot-off for the last places in the final... EselTheDonkey 824 Posted August 17, 2019 #397 Share Posted August 17, 2019 I can't believe, that probably none of the finalists are already qualified for Tokyo. Another close miss for Germany probably incoming.
