Karnataka’s Dhinidhi Desinghu set 2 new NR in the women’s 200,400m freestyle events at the National Games 2025 in Uttarakhand.

 

She broke NR by timing 4:24.60, shattering the previous national swimming record of 4:24.70 set by Hashika Ramachandra in 400m FS

She broke NR by timing 2:03.24 in the 200m freestyle.

The Indian Open of Surfing (IOS), the second stop in the National Surfing Championship series, is set to return for its sixth edition. Set against the scenic backdrop of Sasihithlu Beach in Mangaluru, the event will take place from May 30 to June 1. The current edition of the IOS holds significant importance, as it offers athletes the opportunity to boost their rankings and enhance their chances of qualifying for the Asian Surf Championship, the qualifier event for the 2026 Asian Games scheduled later this year.

Srihari Nataraj creates new NR in 200mFS with timing of 1:48.66(ONR 1:49.73) in Singapore National swimming Championships and gets gold medal.

He won silver in 100mFS with a timing of 50.16s.(49.88s in heats)

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
