Round-Robin Day 4 Schedule (GMT)

13:00  :POL Poland vs Norway :NOR

16:30  :FRA France vs Netherlands :NED

20:00  :CHN China vs Great Britain :GBR

*Note:

1.) If France win in Regulation Time over the Netherlands and Norway will not beat Poland (doesn´t matter if in RT or after OT/PSO) France will be officially crowned as winner of the tournament and promoted to the Women´s Under 18 Division I Group A back.

Even a French win after OT/PSO will be enough if Poland defeat Norway in Regulation Time.

2.) If the Match China vs Great Britain will go to overtime and France will win against the Netherlands in the regulation time the Dutch girls will be officially relegated to the Women´s Under 18 Division I Group B Qualification.

(or if GB win after the overtime, also a dutch OT/PSO lose will officially send the Netherlands one level down)

Round-Robin Last Day Schedule (GMT)

13:00  :NOR Norway vs France :FRA

16:30  :POL Poland vs China :CHN

20:00  :GBR Great Britain vs Netherlands :NED

1.) Norway vs France - the only 2 countries still in the battle for promotion will provide in the last day of the tournament a Direct match for the title and Promotion.

NOR - will win the tournament and Promotion to the WU18 Division I Group A WCh 2020 if they beat France in Regulation Time. Any other result will qualify the French girls.

FRA - will win the tournament and Promotion to the WU18 Division I Group A WCh 2020 if they win at least 1 point in their last game against Norway, so in other words all Regulation Time Win, OT/PSO win or OT/PSO lose will be enough for the French girls to qualify.

2.) Poland and Great Britain will fight for the Bronze medal, China has no more chances to finish on the podium, The host GB in case of win in Regulation Time will secure the Bronze, a OT/PSO win will be enough if Poland does not beat China in Regulation Time. Poland will finish third if they win against China and GB lose to the Netherlands. Even a OT/PSO lose will be enough if the Netherlands will defeat Great Britain in Regulation Time.

3. The Netherlands can not overpass China in the final standing due their head to head lose 1-4 to the Asian team, meaning the Dutch girls are now already before their tomorrows last game assured to be relegated to the next years WU18 Division I Group B Qualification Tournament World Championship 2020.

    • It's an interesting question, Norway is certainly expanding their efforts into a number of new sports. So, that cannot help but to peal off a few more natural athletes. I know their training methods are kinda rocking the world in a number of summer endurance sports.  I can't really speak to they dynamics of their development program. Their men's nordic programs largely always seem to be ridiculously deep, overwhelmingly so the last decade or so.
    • There is an Italian roster listed on elite prospects despite no official roster announcement yet. However many people on the hfboards forum are questioning its legitimacy as there are many questionable players on the roster

    • But it seems to us that Norway wasn't as strong in Lillehammer 1994 as it was later? And not just in women's events. Generally, until 2000, Norway was much weaker in women's biathlon and women`s cross-country skiing. I remember in the 1990s, Italy's biggest rivals, Belmondo and di Centa, were Russia, when Norway somewhere further back and only in the classic style. Bente Martinsen- Skari, this is their first really strong girl in cross country, just about 2000, just like Liv Grete Skielbreid- Pioree in women`s biathlon at similar times.   Do you think, that is there any hope that thanks to the popularity of Haaland and football in general in Norway in recent years, winter sports such as biathlon or cross-country skiing will lose a little bit, becouse that?

    • This suggestion  @Dnl  made some months ago has also been implemented.   In each club, I have added a "Milano Cortina 2026 Qualification Tracker" record which takes the content from the Qualification by Nation tracker of that NOC.   People who see it can not edit the content, but it will be automatically updated once @Matej will update the record, and if you notice any mistake feel free to report it to Matej or in the record itself.   Club's admins can now edit the name of the section into their own language or change the spelling, I have used "Milano Cortina 2026 Qualification Tracker" for all the clubs. To do so, go inside the section, then click on "Manage Club"-"Edit this database Record" and change the name of the section:     By the way, if you are not a club's admin but you would like to edit things inside the club just let me know and I will give you the rights to do so. There can be more "admins" inside the club with the rights to edit and organize the sections, and that's not a role that require time or commitment.   Let's try to make all the clubs active during MiCo and when the LA28 qualifications will start!
