unlucky championship...the bad weather conditions have really disturbed the entire week of sailing, forcing the jury to cancel many races (only 6 qualification races + the medal race have been completed)...

despite that, Italy still manged to perform a lot worse than expected...:wall:

fun facts...

the men's European Ranking has the same Gold and Silver medallists of 2018, only the Bronze medallists are different...

meanwhile, in the women's European Ranking, Gold and Silver medallists from 1 year ago have switched their final position...and also in this case we have a new pair winning the Bronze Medal...

Ester Ledecká, you know the czech snowboarding alpine skier, started to focus a bit more on windsurfing and according to some rumours she is doing pretty well.

    • If Colturi were to return to Italy, we will have another super duo after Goggia and Brignone. If Colturi has to return, it would be right now, when alpine skiing is so popular here. There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.

    • Holdener beat Aicher for 2nd place by 0.04 so Aicher has to win the last GS to have any chance for the overall (trails Shiffrin by 85 pts).
    • Shiffrin wins by 1.32 secs! Business as usual
    • Anna Trocker takes the lead despite a big mistake. Maybe there is some future for  alping skiing
