A ceasefire agreement, no matter what it ends up looking like would likely be enough for the IOC to bring Russia and Belarus back and not wear egg on their face. Until then, we'll likely have a continuing participation of neutral athletes. -

Very bad news from the Junior Women's today. I noticed also there was an Italian from the first chasing group who fell about 100m from the line and was not getting up. Swiss cyclist Muriel Furrer is in a "very critical" condition after suffering a serious head injury at the Road and Para-cycling World Championships. The 18-year-old crashed during the junior road race - authorities say they are "extremely concerned" about her condition. She had already announced that she was retiring post Paris, prior to the Olympics (if you go back a page or two I believe it has already been reported about?) -

The olympic charter is toilet paper. Russia was suspended because otherwise western sponsor companies would pull out and some big countries would've boycotted Paris. Money is the only thing that matters to IOC. -
Remember that Russia's IOC suspension was for a "breach of the Olympic Charter because it violated the territorial integrity of the NOC of Ukraine" not for any other reason. Restoring Russia without that changing would have huge repercussions for other nations. -
It’s just a great weasel word. We all want to come back to International sport "when they are in compliance". But there are very differing opinions on what that means.
