Gordillo :IOC/:GUA came out of nowhere on that breaststroke leg! He takes another outside lane victory, with the Games Record (2:00.97) as well! :surprise:

How about :GUA:ARU:MEX for a swimming podium? Don’t think that’s seen too often.

Rabess :CAY swam a steady pace to put herself in the bronze medal battle in the women’s 1500m free, but she’s out sprinted by Perez :VEN

Unfortunately, Canadian medals don’t count for the medal table :(

:TTO hold their own in the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay. My guess is that they won’t be allocated the necessary quotas to contest the Pan American Games, but still a great bronze medal for them in San Salvador

There were unused quotas in Lima, so if that pattern continues, :TTO should be able to get enough quotas to enter

:PUR has performed below my expectations in table tennis. I expected them to be a lot more dominant. Wonder if they’ll make some changes before the Pan American Games and Olympic qualification tournaments?

Mexico with two podium sweeps today: women’s air pistol and women’s individual modern pentathlon

Of course, per the competition rules, :CUB in shooting and :GUA in modern pentathlon get bronze.

The main site has Mexico getting bronze. Did the rules change or is it another glitch/mistake?
