Yet again, it wasn’t even close. Complete dominance

Marc Gagnon doing wonders to our team.

Montreal Stop #1: 3 golds, 1 silver, 2 bronze

Montreal Stop #2: 5 golds, 1 silver, 1 bronze

ETA; make that 6 GOLDS.

Obviously, I’ll wait until the non-Canadian stops before drawing to conclusions because home-crowd is usually a help but our short track program is looking good :cheer:

Big hopes for Milano 2026. Despite countries like Russia, Italy, Netherlands and Hungary stepping it up in the last few cycles, Canada has been relatively consistent since 1992. 3-5 medals, 1-2 golds. I'm really hoping for a breakthrough in 2026. With it being out of East Asia, hopefully we get some normalcy back to the judging which leads to a return for our women on the podium for the relay.

Silver for William Dandjinou in the men’s 1500m at the ISU Beijing WC.

Never thought I’d be disappointed with a silver, he’s been spoiling us a lot with his performances lately.

Other news, Boutin failed to advance to the women’s 1000m quarterfinals and Sarault is finally back from her injury.

Blais wins gold in the women’s 1000m in Beijing, taking down some big names, what an upset :hyper::yikes::cheer:

The first individual WC gold medal of her career!

Thats’s now a 10th gold in short track on the season, and we only just started the third stop

1500m specialist Sarault makes the A-final in her return from injury, finishing in 5th.

Dubois loses his footing on the last lap, but hangs on to win silver in the men’s 500m in Beijing!

We’re not gonna talk about Dandjinou, who shockingly failed to make the A-final but finished first in the B-final…

So now every man in the relay quartet has won at least one individual medal so far this season. 3 of them have won individual gold.
