This meet is so interesting - some of these folks I expect to go faster and trials and some swimmers are faster here than I expected.

Solid results in the 200 free. Obviously Summer is a beast but I was definitely more excited about MSH going 1:56.76. 1:58s from Jansen and Brousseau are decent results at this point in time and of course it's great to see Penny getting better.

 

Also in the 100m backstroke, 15 year old Madison Kryger set a new PB of 1:00.81.

Very excited to see the 100m freestyle final for women later today. Harvey seems to be on a roll right now and I wonder if she can get another PB.

Oleksiak went 54.67 as well. Very good result for her.

Another excellent swim that wasn’t mentioned (albeit lower down the ranks) was 11 year old Huini Xu clocking 5:04 in the women’s 400m individual medley prelims! Impressive.

I think you mean Huini Xu (Peyton Leigh was born in 08)

 

That is actually faster than Summer McIntosh was at 11 years old.

53.90 for McIntosh in the women’s 100m freestyle! New PB by about half a second!

 

MacNeil in second with a 54.01, MSH in third with a 54.27, and Oleksiak in fourth with a new SB of 54.43.
