Good first day for Canada with 3 medals: Gold for Mollie Jepsen in the women's standing downhill, silver for Mac Marcoux in the men's visually impaired downhill and bronze for Mark Arendz in the men's biathlon sprint standing. Unfortunately the para-hockey team isn't faring well against the US.

Well, looks like our bronze medal winning ways are continuing over to the paralympics: 3 bronze medals today to bring the total to six medals.

 

On another note, these games are starting to become a joke. China won one paralympic medal in its history prior to these games and now their athletes have come out of nowhere to win 18 medals already.

The general lack of funding for para-athletes allows for this to happen. I hope it continues for China and Russia and I hope it's a wake up call for us and other countries.

 

Good day 1 in snowboard cross plus the curling team picked up another win against Latvia to go 3-0.

6 medal day! Including 3 gold. McKeever gets his 14th career gold medal. Unfortunately, Mac Marcoux got hurt yesterday and is out of the games. Wheelchair curling team now 4-0

Great day for Canada!  Curling is having a bit of trouble right now, though (maybe I need to stop watching live?)

Pretty ridiculous that they don't even show the last shot of the game.  On replay it looked pretty good.  GG Sweden.

Apparently I have to stop watching curling because Canada has absolutely sucked the last two games, the only ones I've watched.

And Canada gives up 4 in the 6th end.  Absolute shitshow.  Korea runs their stones through the house, miss everything and Canada still manages to give up points.  Apparently the rot of Curling Canada has spread everywhere.
