God I'm sick of those random street circuits.   Not even happy about the vegas one coming up next year.  This is such a dangerous track.   Thank god the Vietnam race never happened.  From the looks on f1 2020 game.  It was another dangerous and unnecessary track

Verstappen wins after a late pass on Leclerc. Sainz 3rd ahead of the unfortunate Perez. Hamilton only 10th after having to make his lone pitstop under green due to closed pits under VSC (Ricciardo & Alonso conked out right at pitlane entry).

That was a fantastic battle, true classic racing

Bad luck for Perez which made said fight possible, but still. Hamilton got a little screwed by his team being too late with the call to box, but also generally just didn't have the pace to really go for anything much better.

Two races today and both were full with fights left, right and center. Well done Jeddah, too bad it's in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile the director was making a hell of a mess of the broadcast. Those impossible helmet cams all the time, making it near-impossible to see what's going on, and even a long shot of some random fans at a moment where Leclerc and Verstappen, fighting hard for the win in the final few laps, were just diving into the first corner almost side-by-side.

I think this is a great track for sim racing, but here in the real world the entire circuit just strikes me as a death trap.

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
