JoshMartini007 2,211 Posted February 17, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2022 While the schedule is relatively light overall, there's still a lot going on for Canada. Our best medal opportunities will be in freestyle skiing with decent chances in both the women's half pipe and men's ski cross. We also have the bronze medal match in men's curling and I'd keep an eye on men's 1000m speed skating where we have an outside chance. The first two runs of the 2-woman bobsled also begins. NearPup 2,164 Posted February 17, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2022 I honestly hope the wins bronze in men's curling, because the headline of "Canada fails to win any curling medal" would really, really force a reckoning in how the CCA handles the high performance side of the sport and it might lead to some real change. Come on, the problem is not the program but the way we select our teams. The level of other countries in curling has greatly improved over the past 15 years We just have change the Canadian championships with eliminate teams by province basis for Top 12 best Canada Team basis like Olympic Trial. NearPup 2,164 Posted February 18, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2022 Some very unhappy Skeleton sliders in this thread. It appears that a lot of the Skeleton OTP money has gone into unspecified “legal fees” 🤔 Starting to think Humphries might have had the right idea. Canada is basically the third or fourth best curling country at the moment (behind and debatably ) when you look at the results from PC 2018 until now at worlds and the Olympics. I’d argue at the very least that the selection process for the Olympics and for Worlds has to change.

Humphries has big ego problems, one of the directors of B2Ten. He said Humphries is not unblemished.

I don't think we can just dismiss all the criticisms Humphries had because she's has personality issues, because clearly she was not the only problem in that setup. james89
