I mean, everyone already knew this is a seriously talented guy for a few years now, he was excellent in 2020, had more good results last year and already had a very promising year so far, but Gent - Wevelgem...wow! :bowdown: 

 

Perfect work manouvering himself into a small lead group where he was simply the best sprinter, they had no chance!

Likely no Wout van Aert in De Ronde on Sunday, he is sick. Also no Israel-Premier Tech at all, since Sep Vanmarcke and Hugo Houle are literally the only two riders in the team fit to race.

Pogacar is a fantastic cyclist, but does still need to learn a lot about smart riding, tactics and so on in situations where you're facing someone who is simply better in the current situation :d

I never expected to see such a brain freeze from Pogacar. Completely idiotic decision. Being the strongest rider and then almost stopping 400 m before the end, with MVDP known for short exploding sprints and people coming in full speed. What was he expecting to happen... Unreal how MVDP managed to hang on Paterberg though.

Dutchman Milan Vader (26) switched from mountainbike to road cycling this season and was doing well in the Itzulia Basque Country World Tour race this week...but today had a bad fall during a descent. He went over the guardrails and fell down, and now is in a hospital in critical condition being kept in an artificial coma...

So last week we got 280 kilometers of Flanders on TV, whereas the Amstel Gold Race has been underway for close to 200km before the live broadcast starts...sigh.
