hckošice 14,838 Posted June 5, 2016 Author #1875 Share Posted June 5, 2016 CLOSING CEREMONY The 70s in sport. just a great period in our sport, again especially in Hockey, Czechoslovakia became in 77-78 two times back-to-back world champions with many slovak players in other sports, One of the biggest success and surprises of the 70s was for sure also the Anton Tkáč gold olympic medal in Montreal 1976 in Track Cycling sprint But there no way to overpass the thing that happen in 1976 in Belgrade. Czechoslovakia with 8 Slovak players in the starting 11 !!! became European Football Champions ! tuniscof

hckošice 14,838 Posted June 5, 2016 Author #1878 Share Posted June 5, 2016 CLOSING CEREMONY The 80s in sport. A strange period again influenced by politics, our athletes excelled at Moscow 1980 olympics, but also were´nt permited to compete in Los Angeles 1984. so if I have to select something, it´s surely from 1988 olympics Jozef Pribilinec and his gold at 20km Race Walk (Last 400m at 9:30) and Miloš Mečíř winning 2 medals at Tennis return at olympics including Gold in singles tuniscof
hckošice 14,838 Posted June 5, 2016 Author #1879 Share Posted June 5, 2016 CLOSING CEREMONY Another typical mark of Slovakia are the well known "Čičmany" Ornaments you can see also in the TISC 2016 logo, those ornaments are a treditional part of the clothes of our athletes mainly at the olympics. they came from one of our open-air museums villages. Čičmany village let make a quick trip to Čičmany tuniscof
