In a way, the introduction of Decathlon as a sponsor marks a French investment :d

Concerning Austria, Hochfilzen is already a German venue, as is Antholz btw.

I know that both Antholz and Hochfilzen are essentially German venues.  It is like Minsk, Oteppa and Finland are psudo-Russian venues.

Oberhof looks really sad today.

Although there one must add that Hochfilzen and Antholz don't seem to be problematic venues, or am I forgetting things? :p

It feels like it's usually an excellent combination of nice sunny weather with excellent snow conditions, which is sort of perfect :d

Artificial snow? I wonder if everyone picks the early numbers to avoid the mud

Snow has been falling and is being forecast for the next few days as well. Like in larger parts of central Europe, temperatures seem to be going down a bit now, including snowfall.

Since last night, temperatures have dropped below zero. Then the artificial snow was applied, and the first fresh snow fell tonight. Today and Friday there should be a lot of snow again.
Basically, however, it is better to run on artificial snow. At the Olympics, we also have only artificial snow.

In addition, a note: The route plans for this year and the world championship next year have been slightly changed again. The so-called 'Henkel loop' will be run in every race from now on. Therefore the 'Birx-Steig' will be omitted in the Single Mixed Relay.
