Werloc 3,171 Posted August 7, 2018 #282 Share Posted August 7, 2018 WOAH, first good news in these championships for team Lithuania. Eglė Balčiūnaitė has really had a difficult season, filled with injuries and such, but she managed to take 2 seconds off her SB and qualified to the semi-final

A bit odd to choose the Grosseto one since that was with U20 events, but alright, at least it explains it. Yeah, but in U20 they use different weights in shot put/discus/javelin, so it makes no sense to compare it. heywoodu 15,178 Posted August 7, 2018 #286 Share Posted August 7, 2018 That looks like Butenko just threw himself very much in contention for a q. .

Typical for french people to run from a fight. Once they saw that Abele was out for blood, they got scared and fouled out. That was my point indeed. Not saying it's a logical choice they made (it really isn't), but it is the choice they made, hence the high score in the forecast. . heywoodu 15,178 Posted August 7, 2018 #289 Share Posted August 7, 2018 Gudzius hit it to 64.30 meters in his last attempt, Q Werloc 1 .
Werloc 3,171 Posted August 7, 2018 #290 Share Posted August 7, 2018 I don't think that Gudžius had a shorter throw than 64 metres this year at all, in the 15-16 competitions that he's entered. This is definitely pretty sad
