Wow. Looks like you guys might be on a bit of a countdown. Crap situation.

Yeah, flight KL861 is becoming quite the thing. Also a second commentator who was on that flight tested positive.

Jon Rahm (golf) positive. Another big name goes down.

You can turn that plural. Bryson DeChambeau as well.

Jean-Julien Rojer (tennis) is the next :NED on the doomed KLM flight to test positive. That's it for the chances in the men's doubles, where they were in the half of the draw where one of the top duo's was already out.

Meanwhile, prison life in the quarantaine hotel continues after the dinner consisting of dry rice basically, and personal mail being opened by authorities.

Japan has been leaving a very bad mark on these Games so far..

And two more Dutch tennis players tested positive. Not that it matters, since the entire team had already been withdrawn after Rojer's positive test.

And this is why these draconian COVID lockdowns will never work. No matter how much planning & preparation go into them, there’s always a weak link somewhere, someone in authority who’s doing things on the cheap, or who thinks the rules don’t apply.

Panic at the Tokyo Games as 12 police officers guarding athletes at the Olympic Village test positive for Covid and 38 more are told to isolate - with all 50 officers aged in their 20s and sharing cramped accommodation
