:SVK received yesterday thanks reallocation one more quota in Judo. Viktória Majorošová will compete in W -57kg class our 5th judoka in Minsk, sole female. But the amount of our athletes will remain at 74, since due injury one girl of our athletics team had to decline her participation Monika Baňovičová will not travel to Minsk and no one will replace her.

Also it is known that we will share the building in the athletes village with athletes from :ITA:GRE and :CRO

Is anybody actually excited for this?

I'm fairly excited. If i only had more time to watch/follow the Games, it could be higher. I think the interest will be better when things finally get rolling.

For the opening and badminton, yes :p

I think the Olympic Channel has the rights for Indonesia by the way. Check on their website for the streaming schedule.

Does Olympic channel have to buy rights or wherever there is no sponsor they broadcast?

For these games, the EOC made them get the rights, but most of the time they broadcast where rights weren’t brought

Badminton:

Mia Blichfeldt (WS)
Line Kjærsfeldt (WS)
Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup (MD)
Majken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen (WD)

Unfortunately, our best badminton player, Viktor Axelsen, has announced he can't participate because he is struggling with astma due to his grass pollen allergy. :(

Update. SVK will have 75 athletes, today we received another reallocation. Slavomír Michňák will compete in M Artistic Gymnastics.

The Flagbearer during the Opening Ceremony will be Juraj Tužinský 4th from Rio 2016

and one gossip "news" Zuzana Rehák-Štefečeková is pregnant :d this time she scheduled it better than last time when she had to miss the Rio games and her attempt for 3rd Olympic medal in a row.. now she is already qualified for Tokyo so this year and season is the best one for her 2nd child.

She said she will compete at the European Games only if her doctor allow her, and apparently everything is fine, so Zuzana will compete in Minsk, obviously this will be her last this year competition in Trap and Mixed Trap with Varga, before next Olympic year

Congrats Zuzana :cheer:

It's not easy to schedule a baby; only heywood does it perfectly, so he can father kids and run amateur marathons

If the lights light up exactly at the correct moment, he was definitely first, since his light went on first. Not sure if those lights are 100% accurate though?
