Lois Betteridge wins in Woman's C1
should have had one according to their own criterias. I would love to know what happend there.
So, women's K1 should go to cause there are
athletes in the World Ranking too.
There are no enough africans in the women's C1 nor in the continentals or the ranking, so the quota goes to the next in line athlete in the world rankings, WOLFFHARDT Viktoria
Wikipedia gives the Men's K1 quota to , but I don't know where it comes. Last thing I saw Tunisia, Comoros and Kenia move to semi finals but I haven't seen those results.
So, as a recap:
Men's C1:
Women's C1: reallocated to WOLFFHARDT Viktoria
Men's K1: TBD
Women's K1: reallocated to BRONKHORST Chantal
ExpandIt might also depend how the ICF applies that rule. If Algeria is still considered unqualified, then there are 3 athletes attendance.
Algeria is qualified, their NOC already celebrated the reallocation of the quota.
So, if Im not mistaken, the quota should go to the first african in the K1 ranking if there are three or more in the rankings.
The woman K1 quota should go to
Cause should have received the Oceanian reallocation, and there are still 3 african countries in the World Ranking
and
seems to be compiting in Men's Kayak. There was a
athlete in the entry list too and
would compete in the event.
I read somewhere only 8 NOCs would compete here. is in the women so that lefts 2 more NOCs to know.
Hopefully they compete in both events cause if not I can see easily the quotas getting reallocated.
So, no
Has the ICF release anything confirming the quotas? Wikipedia keeps pushing for Cook Islands getting the quota but I havent found it confirmed anywhere else
ExpandI'm just waiting that womens C1 quota wont be used in either Africa or Ocenia and maybe
will get reallocation, as far as I remember we are first underline after World Champs and European Games.
STACH Aleksandra seems to be the first non qualifier according to that ranking in C1 (If I didnt get mistaked)
Well I dont fully understand the reallocation process to be honest, so I'm gonna step out of trying for this one lmao
Edited by JurExpandUnless there's a last minute entry, only the men's C1 will award a quota, the others will be determined through the world rankings. 1st priority goes to Oceania (needs minimum of 3 nations in the ranking for them to be eligible) and then the rest of the world.
As far as I can see the quota won't go to the World Championships
Yep, true, my dumbass read it wrong, sorry
According to the entries:
Men's K1: -
Mens C1: compiting for the quota
Women's K1: Only for the quota (
already qualified)
Women's C1: for the quota (:AUS compiting but already qualified)
I'm not sure if the Women's event count or no, cause I don't understan this part fully.
The men's K1 quota should be allocated to the best oceanian not qualified according to the World Ranking, but I was unable to find any other Oceanian, so if I didn't read badly it should be reallocated to the next elligeable World Ranking
Edited by JurExpandAccording to the Comms
&
are in a dead heat on time for the last quota spot. Rules Committee in session.

It shouldn't be any doubt, the process is clear
And Spain was better than in the previous phase
ExpandZwolinska won the W K1 quota which is for the NOC (Will be official tomorrow, she just have to finish the race and avoid REL-DSQ), by then
can nominate to Paris who they want and this chosen athlete will be eligible if she wish to start also in the C1 and Kayak-Cross.
Unless I really made a mistake, Wikipedia is wrong in this, which is let be honest nothing unusual
Yes, wikipedia is wrong, an athlete can only win one quota. In this case wins K1. And then the athlete in the Olympics can complete in C1 too cause there is no one else from the country.
Actually, you have to reallocate France's host Women's C1 quota here too, rigth? So there would be another extra quota for the best at the qualifier
