Would this count as a connection? :d

"My father has a factory of sport clothes in Togo and we took the opportunity to represent this country," said Dipol, sporting Togo's bright yellow racing suit.

That's pretty close to the connection our only winter olympian has with us. But I think her dad's factory is just regular clothes.

What is the minimum age for participation? Asking because Brazilian cross-country skiers Lucas Lima (2001) and Rhaick Bonfim (2002) are being more impressive every day and might actually be Brazil's strongest male athletes in a year from now..

At least 16... Lebanon had a skier who was 16 in 2010.

So Rhaick (born on 2 April 2002) will have to wait for 2022? That little dude is an incredible talent, if he keeps this up in the next few years he could seriously be Brazil's first ever male World Cup-regular.

Sorry I worded that wrong. There has been past precedence for a 16 year old... so worst case scenario is that age.

¿How many places are available?

Via Final Nations Cup standing of 19th March 2017

Top 5 countries -  6 Quotas  (5x6 = 30)

Nations ranked 6-20  -  5 Quotas  (15x5 = 75)

Nations ranked 21-22  -  2 Quotas  (2x2 = 4)

-------------------------------------------

Total Quotas  -  109

+ 6 quotas via IBU Points list for non already qualified countries (must probably we have to deduct of this number also the host quotas for South Korea if they will not qualify via Nations Cup)

1 quota for South Korea as a minimum if they finish outside the top-22, only if the 6 highest athletes from non-qualified countries contain 2 South Koreans, they will get 2 quota :)

Basically, Korea reaching the top-22 could be very useful for example for Amanda Lightfoot :GBR or Vicky Padial :ESP
